So this past weekend we went camping with our new truck - we didn't have to worry about weight limits (as we did with the Mazda 5, blew out three shocks on that car with cargo), but P did have to play a bit of truck tetris.
Then our first night, we got stuck with a bag of wet wood (cue grumpy former boy scout). E did his best to help start the fire, and the kids enjoyed watching it.
Friday night though, it started to rain, and it continued all through Saturday and Saturday night (and our tent leaked! Wet sleeping bags, ugh). E and P took a hike through the woods while C and I stuck close to the tent.
On Sunday we were all soggy and tired.
We tried the hike again though, all four of us this time.
Unfortunately C didn't want to walk, and he refused to go in the baby carrier!
Back to the truck we went, C falling asleep on the way. E and P went again without us.
Sunday afternoon was much better, we even made it to the beach! No pictures of that though.
Mr. C pretending to be a lion and roaring at all who approached.
I foolishly thought he was ready for bed, so I put him in his PJs. Nope! Back outside to play.
The boys were happy to be home in the pool on Monday, it was HOT out. C is getting pretty fearless in the water, he was trying his best to swim on his own in his puddle jumper. If only he would stop drinking the pool water, ha!
We'll try this camping thing again next month, fingers crossed there's no rain!!!
